About

Rickey Alexander Mobile Truck & Trailer Repair does mobile truck repair, emergency roadside repair, and trailer repair across Forrest City. When a rig goes down on I-40, Highway 1, or in a yard off Broadway, we bring the truck, the tools, and the parts to you. No tow to a shop, no waiting days for a bay. You call, we show up, and we tell you what it needs before we start turning wrenches.
This shop runs the way drivers want a repair to run. You call with a symptom. We ask the right questions, get to your location in or around Forrest City, and diagnose the problem before any work starts. Then you get a straight answer on what it costs and how long it takes.
If it is a jumpstart at 2 a.m., an air brake fix at a fuel stop in Brinkley, or a cooling system repair in your own yard, the process is the same: find the real problem, fix it right, and get you rolling. Working trucks around east Arkansas face long hauls, heavy loads, and Delta heat that kills tires, batteries, and cooling systems. We stock for the failures we see most, so most roadside calls end with a repair, not a tow.
Fleet operators and owner-operators alike get the same treatment: fair rates, honest timelines, and work we stand behind. That is why drivers on the I-40 corridor save this number before they need it.

What local drivers say
5.0 out of 5 from 34 reviews on Google.
Yesterday 10/5/26 needed a Jumpstart on my semi. Called around and got the run around. I'm a trucker familiar with the area yet not familiar with the services. Called the Ace! Rickey by chance nonetheless and my man's pulled up on me in 30 of em (meaning time 30minutes) I also need to point out Rickey was in forest city A.R. and I was in Brinkley A.R. enough of me babbling though I'll say this and leave it be. When in doubt give Rickey a shout and he'll show up and show out! And won't depart until your vehicle starts. Easy on the pockets and he won't be forgotten! At any rate I suggest you holla at Rickey Alexander a man of compassion and character. Thanks again!
Exceptional service. Called and wait time was fast. Affordable rates and knowledgeable
very good affordable service i would recommend him to anyone!!!

Straight answers before you call
What should I check on my trucks after a roadside repair in Hughes?
After any roadside job, note what was repaired and keep an eye on it over the next few routes. A temporary tire plug, a jumpstart, or a cooling system top-off points at an underlying cause worth finishing properly. Check tire pressure and fluid levels daily for a week, and listen for the same symptom. If it comes back, call us and we will return to finish the full repair at your yard before it strands you on a route again.
How often should a short-haul fleet in Hughes get preventive maintenance?
Short-haul trucks run more start-stop cycles than highway units, so brakes, batteries, and cooling systems wear faster per mile. Most local fleets do well with an inspection and service cycle every few months rather than waiting for a failure. We can put your Hughes trucks on a Fleet Maintenance schedule and handle it on-site overnight or between routes, so maintenance never costs you a running day.
Do you work on the farm and aggregate trucks that operate around Hughes?
Yes. St. Francis County hauling does not stop at semi tractors. We handle hydraulic repair, trailer work, electrical diagnostics, and diesel engine issues on medium-duty and heavy trucks alike, whether the truck hauls farm loads, gravel, or general freight. If it has an air brake system or a diesel engine, we can usually diagnose and fix it on your property in Hughes.
How much does a mobile truck repair cost?
Price comes down to four things: what the repair actually involves, the parts it needs, how long the work runs, and whether the truck is roadside or parked. Before any wrench turns, you get a clear estimate built from those factors, so you know the number before we start and nothing changes after.
What areas do you serve around Forrest City, AR?
We run out of Forrest City and cover the I-40 corridor plus surrounding towns: Brinkley, Wynne, Marianna, West Memphis, Marion, Helena-West Helena, Hughes, Earle, Parkin, Palestine, and Colt. Call (870) 270-4001 with your location and we will confirm we can reach you and how soon.
How soon can you come out for a repair?
Breakdown calls move as fast as you can get us a location. Planned work, like fleet maintenance or a pre-trip inspection, gets booked at a time that fits your route. The sooner you call, the sooner we roll, so ring (870) 270-4001 as soon as you know you need us.
Are you open nights and weekends?
Yes. Trucks do not break down on a schedule, so we run 24 hours a day, seven days a week. A 2 a.m. air brake fault near West Memphis or a Sunday cooling system failure outside Wynne both get answered. Call any hour and we will tell you what happens next.
What should I do while waiting for roadside service?
Move off the roadway as far as you safely can, set your hazards, and note a mile marker, exit, or crossroads. Then call (870) 270-4001 with a short description of the problem. Those details let us load the right parts and tools so one trip does the job.
What happens when you arrive at my truck?
First we look the truck or trailer over and explain what we found before any repair starts. You get the plan and the price up front, then the work happens on site. Most roadside calls are finished where you sit, which means you drive out instead of waiting on a tow.
Do you fix both the tractor and the trailer on one visit?
Yes. One call covers the whole rig: semi trucks, trailers, air brakes, tires, electrical diagnostics, hydraulics, and more, all from the mobile unit. A tractor and trailer do not need two different shops, and the work happens wherever the combination is parked or stopped in our area.
Do I need an appointment or can I call for a same-day fix?
Both work. Breakdowns get priority, so same-day roadside response is the normal way we operate. Planned jobs like transmission repair or alternator and starter replacement can be booked ahead at a time that suits your schedule. Call (870) 270-4001 and we will sort the timing.
Can you handle a jumpstart or tire change on the roadside?
Those are two of the most common roadside calls. A dead battery or a blown tire does not need a shop visit; we bring jumpstart equipment and commercial tire replacement to the shoulder. Give us your location and the tire size if you know it, and we handle the rest.

Serving Hughes
Hughes is a small rural city in St. Francis County, about 37 miles from Memphis, with just over a thousand residents and a fully rural footprint. The economy runs on local hauling, farm work, and short-haul trucking that connects Hughes to West Memphis and the Memphis freight market. When the Hughes school district consolidated into West Memphis in 2015, those bus routes became a daily reminder of how much of life here depends on vehicles making the same short trip every day. Local fleets cannot afford downtime, and there is no big-city service center in town.
Why Hughes customers need this work
Short-haul work punishes neglected trucks differently than long-haul freight does. Routes repeat, so a weak starter, a slow air leak, or a cooling system on the edge fails on schedule rather than by surprise. Mobile Truck Repair in Hughes means we service trucks where they park overnight, so problems get caught before the next route. Fleet Maintenance in Hughes keeps local trucks on a cycle instead of a breakdown call. Air Brake Repair in Hughes matters too, since trailers sitting loaded on county roads cannot wait on a tow from Memphis. Tire Replacement, electrical diagnostics, and alternator work round out the most common requests we get here.
Why Choose Rickey Alexander Mobile Truck & Trailer Repair for Mobile truck and trailer repair in Hughes
Rickey Alexander Mobile Truck & Trailer Repair keeps Hughes short-haul fleets rolling. Small fleets around Hughes run tight routes to Memphis and back, and a truck sitting in the yard all morning costs the same as one broken down on the highway. We come to your lot, the county road where the trailer lost air, or the job site, with brake, tire, electrical, and diesel work done on the spot. You get a clear explanation and a fair price before any wrench turns, day or night.
Hughes sits close enough to Memphis that many operators assume help has to come from the big shops in Arkansas or Tennessee. It does not. We run out of Forrest City, we know the county roads between Hughes, Earle, and Parkin, and we answer 24 hours a day. A yard call in Hughes does not mean paying a Memphis tow bill or losing a day waiting on a shop appointment. The truck gets fixed where it sits, with the repair explained first, and rates set for working fleets, not interstate emergencies.
